HOME OF THE STATE CHAMPIONS!!

Club's Guidelines for RETURN TO PLAY

After much deliberation between our Senior Staff Members and the Local and Statewide Government (as well as hearing directly from our members via a survey completed last week) it has been decided that we will officially start our 2020/21 season on Monday August 10th.

We follow PALM BEACH COUNTY guidelines. You can find the latest updates here.

Reminder that all parents have to be outside of the fence for our home games. Please social distance and wear a mask if you are outside of your car.

“No sideline coach” –  we don’t allow parents to coach their kids from the sidelines in games. It’s important for the players to focus on the information received from their coaches and we emphasize the importance of them thinking for themselves and developing their decision-making abilities on the field.

Hopefully we get to have somewhat of a normal season but of course, we are subject to circumstances that could be out of our control. We will always do our best to navigate through it safely and productively for the kids as we recognize how important it is for them to exercise and play.

Good luck to everyone and ENJOY the games!

  • Spectators will need to be OUTSIDE THE FENCE.
  • This is in order to keep spectators and coaching staff separate from those of other communities.
  • Coach and player areas may not be closer than 10 feet from the sideline at any point during the game.
  • We do not encourage clubs to use team benches.
  • All Players and Coaches must social distance or be wearing masks during halftime gatherings.
  • Clubs will not provide communal water or snacks.

Thank you for your continued commitment and dedication to providing the safest possible environment for all park patrons, program participants and attendees to resume activities at County Athletic Facilities. We appreciate your patience as we work through how to decipher emergency orders, trends and directives.

In order to provide the safest possible environment for all to enjoy, we must work together with ensuring strict adherence to COVID-19 safety practices and protocols in accordance with Palm Beach County Emergency Orders and Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) Guidelines.

While most Emergency Orders have been lifted, that does not mean we are “back to normal.”
Your organization still needs to abide by the following:

  • o   PBC Emergency Order 2020-028 (Phase 3 Reopening)
  • §  Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) for PBC EO-28
  • o   PBC Emergency Order 2020-017 (Enforcement)
  • o   PBC Emergency Order 2020-012 (Facial Coverings)
  • §  Click here for all details

What does this mean?

  • o   EO28 does not impose capacity restrictions. However, social distancing may impact capacities.
  • §  This means you do not need to limit fields to 50 people per field.
  • o   Social Distancing: adhere to all applicable social distancing guidelines issued by the CDC.
  • o   Facial Coverings: must be worn by all persons in public places where social distancing in accordance with the CDC guidelines is not possible or not being practiced.
  • o   Continue cleaning/disinfecting of shared spaces between games (dugouts, team benches, bleachers)
  • o   Continue having a Site Supervisor and Staff/Volunteers monitor all activities and ensure strict adherence to Palm Beach County Emergency Orders and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Guidelines.
  • o   If you are planning to make any changes to your current program format or guidelines, inform your PBC liaison of what you are changing (schedules, times, rules, etc).
  • §  Park Rangers and Parks & Recreation Staff will continue to monitor County athletic facilities with primary responsibility of educating the public and Sport Providers of compliance with PBC Emergency Orders. We need to know your plans in order to help.

In addition to those strategies related to compliance with facial covering, social distancing, and cleaning/disinfecting requirements set forth in EO-28, Sport Providers are strongly encouraged to continue or maintain any preventative strategies implemented to mitigate further spread of COVID-19.

Thank you again for your patience and your hard work in providing the community with a safe and fun soccer program.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
